Right above this message, you should see three boxes with arrows centered at the bottom of the slide. Click "PLAY" (the middle arrow in the second box) to start the slide presentation. Click "FORWARD" (the last arrow pointing right) to view the 2011 Business Directory on pages 18-25. NOTE: The typos you see in this slide show were not in actual booklet distributed on 12/10 but are a result of the upload to Zoho for this site. I can't figure out how to upload documents without it changing around my fonts, lines and symbols in Zoho.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I would like to extend a special thank you to all CAOT authors/members, supporters and festival sponsors whose prayer, presence and/or action helped us make our first Christian Writer's Literary Festival (http:// christianwritersliteraryfestiva l.blogspot.com/) a great success!
A special thank you to the sister who pushed her way via train all the way from the Bronx, NY to fellowship with us. I also thank everyone who donated personal hygiene items at the event. A special thank you also to Sis. Yinka Omolade-Windapo and her two beautiful sons for spending the afternoon helping Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) sort and stuff bags for homeless men and women in Baltimore. I thank God also for Quiniece Sheppard and Baltimore Christianity Examiner, Verinda Birdsong who helped to pack those gift bags & Evangelist Annette E. Morton and Nicole Barber who made it possible for us to deliver all of the bags on yesterday after the Christian Writer's Literary Festival to the Karis Home and the Baltimore Rescue Mission.
A special thank you to Theresa Edmonds and other staff including security at Central Branch of Enoch Pratt Free Library, RLIC members Della Dixon, Devette & little Jada Parker who spent the day in service to the participating authors. What a day...what a day!
It definitely would not have flowed without the Intercessory Prayer work of CAOT author/member Alishia Louis and others who stood in the gap for us. Sending out special prayers to CAOT author/members - Carmen Calhoun, Kimberly Holmes and Michele Rose - who had to tend to family emergencies but whose spirits were with us all the more!
A special thank you to Jen at Catonsville Fed-EX/Kinkos for helping me with all the glitches and getting that $4,000 print estimate down to a price that didn't stop my heart from beating. LOL And that Caribbean restaurant that is right down the way from Kinkos has a mean stewed chicken, rice and cabbage dish. Nothing like good food to help make a hectic day right!
I have so much gratitude to all sponsors of this event, the ECPA and the Christian Writer's Guild for sending resource information for us to share at the festival. Thanks also to those attendees who took the time to register. Be on the look-out for evaluation forms. We definitely want to get your feedback to help make the 2012 Christian Writer's Literary Festival an even better experience!
God Bless,
Lynn Pinder
CAOT Coordinator

Writing as a Tool for Christian Ministry - Part 1 (Evangelist Annette Morton, Lynette Harrison, Lynn Pinder) As Christian authors, we have a call on our lives to write for more than entertainment. The real-life testimonies (non-fiction) and the creative stories/parables (fiction) we share in our books help introduce readers to biblical principles that help them lead Christ-full lives.
• 11:45 a.m. – Noon
Poetry as Praise Panel (Jerome Redd, Terry Catherine Potillo, Maxine Bigby Cunningham) Defined by some as the measured language of emotion, poetry it is the art of prose or rhythmical composition - written or spoken. The poems we share in our books proclaim beautiful, imaginative, heart-stirring and thought-provoking homage to God while offering readers a look into our individual journeys of faith.
• 12:10 – 12:35 p.m.
Writing to Disciple the Youth (Linet Kiplagat, Caprice Smith, Eugene Williams) Today, more than ever, our youth need more Godly influences to help them develop into well-rounded men and women. My Words Become My Praise - (Ministry in song by Carmen Calhoun, an Author, Psalmist and Songwriter) Carmen Calhoun is a songwriter, psalmist and author. •2:00 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.
Healing Words - Part 1 (Dr. Steven Haymon, Louise Sutherland, Michelle Addison Jones) We live in a dying world where people are hurting and living "dead" lives void of God's promises. Our books help people understand that "life" is in the Word of God and healing stems from a "renewed" life in Christ. We write books that inspire, uplift and encourage the daily application of God's words in our readers' lives.
• 2:25 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Christian Fiction: Stories that Harvest Souls for Christ (Michelle D. Jackson, Melody Ravert, Kimberly Holmes) The Holy Bible is filled with short stories/parables that Jesus used to help his followers understand the truth of His Word. In our books, we use our Holy Ghost imagination to create fiction novels, novellas and/or short stories that introduce our readers to life-changing principles found in God's word (The Holy Bible).
• 2:50 p.m. - 3:10 p.m.
Healing Words - Part 2 (Elder Nicole Barber, Jewel Williams, Dr. Joey N. Jones) We live in a dying world where people are hurting and living "dead" lives void of God's promises.
